Eligibility

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 1) Parturients undergoing elective/emergency caesarean birth under spinal anaesthesia. 2).Full term singleton gestation. 3).American Society of Anaesthesiology Physical Status score of II.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1) History of hypertension or cardiovascular disease. 2) Severely impaired liver or kidney function. 3) Coagulation abnormalities. 4) Patients on anti platelet and anticoagulant agents. 5) Fetal abnormality. 6) History of epilepsy. 7) Patients who do not give consent.
