| Metabolomic profiling of pre, intra and post-surgical serum profiles in colon cancer patients might help in understanding of tumor specific metabolic reprogramming and post resection metabolic adaptations. Untargeted GC-MS enables identification and fold changes of signature metabolites are characteristic of tumor metabolism. The normalization of these metabolites post-operatively may function as indicators of successful tumor excision, whereas their continued dysregulation could imply incomplete resection or emerging disease recurrence. This metabolic profiling might refine precision oncology through metabolically informed adjuvant therapy selection and monitoring for recurrence.Timepoint: 1-12 months sample collection 12-18 sample processing | — |
