Eligibility

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: School children aged 8 10 years, who are present on the day of baseline examination and intervention. Children whose parents/guardians provide written informed consent and children who provide assent to participate in the study.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Children with systemic illnesses or medical conditions that may affect oral hygiene status, children undergoing orthodontic treatment at the time of the study, children who have received professional oral health education or dental treatment within the past three months, children who are uncooperative or unwilling to participate.

MeasureTime frame
Oral hygiene status will be assessed using the Simplified Oral Hygiene Index (OHI-S). Clinical examination will be performed by a trained and calibrated examiner at baseline and 3 months after the intervention. The change in OHI-S score from baseline to follow-up will be used to evaluate improvement in oral hygiene status.Timepoint: Baseline and 3-month follow-up

MeasureTime frame
Oral health knowledge will be assessed using a structured questionnaire designed for children aged 8 10 years. The questionnaire will include simple, age-appropriate questions related to oral hygiene practices. Knowledge scores will be recorded at baseline and 3 months after the intervention, and changes in scores will be compared between groups.Timepoint: Baseline and 3 months follow-up
