Eligibility

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 1) Patient in the age group of 18-70 years of either sex. 2) Post-operative wound of Gudaja Vidradhi (Ischiorectal abscess). 3) Patient is willing to participate in the study. 4) Patient having no other local or systemic ailment requiring active treatment.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1) Post-operative wound of perianal,intersphincteric and supralevator abscess, fistula in ano, Carcinoma of rectum, Rectal Prolapse, Hemorrhoids. 2) Patients with uncontrolled diabetes mellitus, Hypertension, Hepatitis-B, HIV, AIDS, & STD.

Evaluation of the Wound healing with respect to size reduction of wound and formation of healthy granulation tissueTimepoint: Evaluation of the Wound healing efficacy will be assessed at 7th, 14th, 21st and 28th day

MeasureTime frame
Change in the quality of life of the patient using SF-12 scale To assess post-operative wound complications such as post-operative bleeding , pus/slough formation , post-operative pain , hypergrannulation/necrosis . Timepoint: Assessment on the outcome on 7th, 14th, 21st & 28th day. quality of life will be assessed after 8 weeks
