Eligibility

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Age 18 to 60 years22 All genders Diagnosed disease of chronic insomnia by the criteria of ICSD-3. A score of 5 or more in the Pittsburgh Sleep Quality Index (PSQI) Willingness to participate in the study

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1) Patients with a diagnosed case of another primary sleep disorder 2) Patients with a diagnosed case of severe psychiatric disorder (schizophrenia, bipolar disorder, severe depression) . 3) Pregnant or lactating women. 4) Patients currently on CNS depressants and other medications known to alter sleep. 5) Those who are Known case of alcohol or substance abuse. 6)Those who are on Shift works. 7) Patients with respiratory depression or obstructive sleep disorders. 8) Those who are Currently taking Zolpidem or who having history of hypersensitivity to it. 9) Patients with severe hepatic impairment.
