Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: Hemiplegia due to stroke 6 months after onset. Ability to walk a minimum of 10 m without physical assistance from a therapist. (i.e., patient may require verbal supervision or stand-by help from a person, and using an aid or orthotics is allowed). Sufficient to follow instructions (MMSE score more than 23). Giving informed consent and being motivated to participate in intervention or usual care for 6 weeks.
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: Progressive neurological disease or medical condition affecting walking. Significant limitation of hip or knee joint range of motion. Pregnancy (excluded for safety and ethical reasons related to balance and exercise tolerance).
