Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: 1) Individuals aged 60 years and above 2) Participants diagnosed with dementia 3) Individuals who provide informed consent 4) Willingness to undergo relevant blood tests, which includes serum homocysteine measurement and other required investigations (e.g., vitamin B12, folate, etc.).
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: 1) Cognitively normal elderly individuals 2) Patients with CKD/ Dialysis as it can affect the serum homocysteine levels. 3) Patients with Vegetarian diet-As it can cause Vitamin B12 deficiency which influence serum homocysteine levels. 4) Malignancy. 5) Hypothyroidism. 6) Patient under vitamin supplements especially vitamin B12 as it caninfluence serum homocysteine levels. 7) Individuals with acute or chronic psychiatric illnesses other than dementia which includes schizophrenia, major depressive disorder, bipolar disorder. 8) Smoking
