Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Patients willing to participate in the trial. Patients presenting with signs and symptoms of Shushkakshipaka / Dry Eye Syndrome with at least 1 positive diagnostic test. Patients above the age of 18 years will be selected. Patient with no history of allergic reaction to Ghrita or any trial drug ingredient.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Patients with systemic conditions like Diabetic Mellitus, Autoimmune disorders affecting vision, Rheumatoid Arthritis. Patients with severe eye disorders including Glaucoma, Cataract or active infections (Infective conjunctivitis /keratitis). Disorders of lid globe apposition. Pregnant and lactating women. Patients not willing to be registered for the trial.

To compare the effect of Akshitarpan with Jivaniya Ghrit and CMC 0.5 % w/v eye drops in the management of Shushkakshipak. To assess the clinical safety of Akshitarpan with Jivaniya Ghrit in patients of Shushkakshipak.Timepoint: follow up at day 7, 15 and 30	—
