Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: Patients 18 years old and above requiring root canal treatment in posterior teeth with symptomatic apical periodontitis, patients not having taken any analgesic within 12 hours before treatment, patients with pain score ranging from moderate to severe on a visual analogue scale of pain score 0 to 10.
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: Patients not willing to participate in the study, patients with systemic diseases, pregnant women, patients with more than one tooth requiring root canal treatment, teeth with abscess, teeth that have undergone root canal treatment, non-restorable teeth, teeth with root canal calcification, teeth with severe periodontal disease and teeth that cannot be isolated with a rubber dam.
