Eligibility
Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: Lingering response to cold test, with prolonged response after the removal of the Endo-Ice cold spray stimuli (Roeko; Coltene Whaledent, Langenau, Germany). No radiographic alterations of the periodontal ligament space and fully formed roots (revealed by an intra-oral periapical radiograph). Patients in good health (ASA classification I).
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: Pregnant or nursing mothers, those with a contraindication for the use of magnesium sulphate, sodium bicarbonate. Those who are allergic to local anaesthetic, sodium bicarbonate or magnesium sulphate solution will be excluded. Patient has history of significant medical problem (ASA classification II, III or greater) Recent cardiac surgery Patient has taken CNS depressants or any analgesic within 6 hours prior to treatment Alcoholic, chronic smokers patients
