Intervention1: Olmesartan Medoxomil: 20 mg OD,oral for 3 months Control Intervention1: Azilsartan medoxomil: 40 mg OD,oral for 3 months

Eligibility

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 1. Patients of both sexes aged more than 18 years with stage 1 hypertension (140-159 systolic BP/90-99 diastolic BP). 2. Patients with associated co-morbid conditions as diabetes, hypothyroidism without complications. 3. Patients who are willing to give consent for the study.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1. Patients with stage ll and lll hypertension. 2. Patients already on anti-hypertensive medications. 3. Patients with hypertensive urgencies and emergencies. 4. Along with additional comorbid diseases like coronary artery disease CCF, CKD, stroke and heart, kidney, liver complications. 5. Pregnant and lactating women

Reduction in systolic and diastolic BPTimepoint: 3 MONTHS

Secondary

MeasureTime frame
To record adverse effects of Olmesartan and Azilsartan such as dizziness, fatigue, headache, hyperglycemia. Timepoint: 3 months
