Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: 1. Patient of either sex undergoing elective surgery under general anaesthesia, requiring endotracheal intubation. 2. Patient willing to give informed and written consent. 3. Surgeries in supine position. 4. Age above 18 years. 5. American Society of Anesthesiologists physical status class of I II.
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: 1. Patients for whom anaesthesia duration is of more than 3 hours. 2. Body mass index more than or equal to 30 kg/ m2 3. Have a thyromental distance of less than 6.5 cm. 4. Mallampati class III or IV 5. Inter-incisor gap less than 3 finger. 6. Have a history of recent upper respiratory infection or sore throat within 7 days before surgery. 7. Taking steroid medications 8. Pregnant females
