Eligibility

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Individuals diagnosed with PD and PSP under the criteria established by the MDS and NINDS-SPSP Age and gender-matched controls without symptoms of PD and PSP MRI reports showing no significant abnormality detected

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Motor neuron disorders Multiple system Atrophy Secondary Parkinsonism; Drug induced Parkinsonism, Vascular Parkinsonism. Normal pressure hydrocephalus Patients diagnosed with Wilson s disease and sickle cell disease Cirrhosis of liver Patients with metal implants Previous intracranial bleed Head trauma Family history of PD Patients with prior neurological trauma, mass and tumour.

MeasureTime frame
QSM (ppb) and R2 (Hertz) values noted for Parkinsons and Progressive nuclear palsy.Timepoint: QSM (ppb) and R2 (Hertz) values will be noted at the end of each MRI scan.
