Eligibility

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 1. Age group: 18to 40 years. 2. Participants meeting the criteria for Social Media Addiction based on the Bergen Social Media Addiction Scale (BSMAS) (score more than 24). 3. Active social media users spending more than4 hours per day on platforms. 4. Willing to participate for 6 weeks and follow the intervention protocol.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1. Diagnosed major psychiatric disorders (schizophrenia, bipolar disorder etc.). 2. Any neurological disorder affecting cognitive function. 3. History of substance abuse disorder in the past 6 months. 4. Current engagement in any mindfulness-based or yoga practice for more than 3 months.

Reduction in the severity of social media addiction, as assessed by the change in total BSMAS score from baseline to week 6.Timepoint: 6 weeks

Improvement in impulsivity (BIS -11), reduction in perceived stress (PSS), and change in serum cortisol levels from baseline to week 6.Timepoint: 6 weeks
