Eligibility

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Use of Ventral inguinal hernia surgical technique; No recidivating inguinal hernia Male adults ages between 21 and 45 years No hearing visual or speaking impairments No cognitive disturbances After 4 weeks of Post operative ventral hernia Abdominal surgery

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Diagnoses of malignant cancer Cardiovascular insufficiency ejection fraction 35 percent Neurological eg prior stroke Parkinsons or Alzheimers disease cerebral tumor traumatic brain injury dementia multiple sclerosis or substance abuse or pulmonary diseases such as oxygendependent chronic obstruction that would seriously affect the results of the tests Cardiac illness such as cardiac arrhythmia angina pectoris congestive heart failure uncontrolled hypertension TENS application such as placing electrodes directly over open wounds not suggestive Chronic use of opioids

MeasureTime frame
Pain Measurements All subjects received equal baseline assessments. An 11-point numeric rating scale NRS was used to assess selfreport of pain intensity at rest. Subjects were required to state a number that indicated their postoperative pain intensity between 0 and 10, where 0 was no pain and 10 was the most intense pain imaginable. This tool has established validity and reliability for measuring acute and postoperative pain. Surface EMG Surface EMG recordings were Done on internal oblique and External oblique muscles of Either side Activity Assessment Scale (AAS) consists of 13 questions that will be summarized and subject has to respond to the question and easy to administer. This scale has got a validity to assess functional outcome for post hernia surgery subjects. Timepoint: Pain Measurements All subjects received equal baseline assessments.
