Intervention1: dexmedetomidine: Duration of postoperative analgesia in the dexmedetomidine group (dose 100 mcg), measured as the total time from completion of the nerve block to the first requirement

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: ASA I and II Patients, BMI less than 25 kg per m2, Elective below elbow orthopedic surgeries

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Patient Refusal, Allergy to study Drugs, Local Site Infection, Coagulopathy, Neuromuscular disorders, Pregnancy, Prior history of Brachial Plexus Injury, Polytrauma

Measure	Time frame
Duration of postoperative analgesia, measured as the time from completion of the nerve block to the first request for rescue analgesic. Timepoint: Pain scores will be documented upon arrival in the postoperative care unit and subsequently at 2,6,12 and 24 hours postoperatively.	—
