Design outcomes

Primary

MeasureTime frame
To compare the proportion of patients achieving ease of positioning for spinal anesthesia using ultrasound-guided pericapsular nerve group (PENG) block versus suprainguinal fascia iliaca plane (SIFI) block in those undergoing fracture neck of femur surgeries.Timepoint: Pre Block 0 minute Post Block 0 minute

Secondary

MeasureTime frame
In patients undergoing fracture neck of femur surgeries under spinal anesthesia, comparison of NRS pain scores pre block vs post block ( 30 minutes after needle placement) Timepoint: Pre Block Post Block 30 minutes after needle placement; To assess the degree of motor-sparing effect in patients receiving the PENG block compared to the SIFI block for positioning during spinal anesthesia in fracture neck of femur surgeries Timepoint: Pre Block Post Block 30 minutes after needle placement
