Eligibility

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 1. Age greater or equal to 40 years 2. Diagnosed Type 2 Diabetes Mellitus 3. Willing and able to provide informed consent 4. Able to undergo DXA and radiological imaging

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1. Type 1 diabetes 2. Chronic steroid use 3. History of metabolic bone diseases other than osteoporosis 4. Malignancy or metastatic skeletal disease 5. Severe cognitive impairment 6. Inability to undergo imaging

1.Vertebral fractures (clinical and radiographic) 2.BMD & T-scores (DXA: spine, hip) & VAS pain scores 3.ODI/NDI disability scores 4. Vitamin D, calcium, phosphate, PTH 5.HbA1c, fasting/post-prandial glucose 6.FRAX risk score 7. Fall history 8. Presence of diabetic complications Timepoint: Patient will be followed up at Baseline visit,Six month and at interval of 12 months.
