Eligibility

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 1.Undergoing elective total laparoscopic hysterectomies under general anaesthesia 2.Age between 40 and 65 years 3.ASA I, II, III

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Patient refusal ASA class four Chronic use of opioids Severe hypotension defined as mean arterial pressure less than 60 mmHg Bradycardia defined as heart rate less than 40 beats per minute Patients taking clonidine methyldopa beta blockers or calcium channel blockers Known allergy to amide type local anaesthetics
