Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Patients aged over 65 years of either sex posted for surgery under general anaesthesia

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1.Refusal to participate in the study. 2.Patients with hypertension on medications and hypotension (MAP less than 70 mmHg). 3.American Society of Anaesthesiologist ASA 3 - 4. 4. Patients having emergency surgeries. 5.Patients with BMI greater than 30 kg/m . 6. Patients allergic to propofol and its components.

MeasureTime frame
A cutoff value of baseline PI below which post-induction hypotension at 4 minutes occurs.Timepoint: Patient s vitals and perfusion index will be recorded from induction till first 16 minutes—
