Eligibility

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 1. Non-cardiac surgeries in major Operating Rooms. 2. Procedures performed under general anaesthesia (as the primary mode of anaesthesia) that necessitate securing the airway. 3. All anaesthesiologists.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1. Minor operation room (OR). 2. Paediatric surgeries. 3. Awake surgeries 4. Non-operating room anaesthesia (NORA) sites. 5. Emergency surgeries. 6. OR where a member of the study team is present.

MeasureTime frame
To estimate the average noise levels in major operating rooms during induction of anaesthesia.Timepoint: from the moment of the patient s entry into the OT until the airway is secured

MeasureTime frame
1.To record minimum and maximum noise levels in the major operating room during induction of anaesthesia. 2.Assess anaesthesiologists perception of noise and its effects. Timepoint: from the moment of the patients entry into the OT until the airway is secured
