Eligibility
Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: CASES 1.Includes Adult population of western Uttar Pradesh. 2.Patients with recently diagnosed Coronary Artery Disease within 5 years, willing to participate in the research study. CONTROL 3. Apparently Healthy Individuals with Age & Sex matched. 4. Willingness to provide informed consent.
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: 1.Patients with known coagulation disorders: Coagulation abnormalities can independently alter fibrinogen levels, leading to confounding results. 2.Acute and Chronic infections or autoimmune diseases (e.g., rheumatoid arthritis, lupus): These conditions elevate acute-phase reactants like fibrinogen, unrelated to CAD. 3.Patients with a history of recent surgery or trauma (within the last 3 months): infections increase fibrinogen and glycation levels, which could misrepresent the baseline state. 9 4.Chronic liver disease or renal failure: These affect protein metabolism and fibrinogen synthesis/clearance, interfering with accurate assessment. 5.Patients on anticoagulants or anti-inflammatory therapy (e.g., steroids, NSAIDs): These medications alter fibrinogen levels and inflammatory markers. 6. Patients with old myocardial ischaemia more than 5 years of history. 7.Pragnent and Lactating women.
