Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: 1. Age less than 1 year 2. ASAPS I, II, III 3. Patients requiring central venous access as a part of perioperative management. 4. Hemodynamically stable prior to induction of anaesthesia 5. No contraindication to central venous cannulation
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: 1. BMI more than 95 percentile for the age. 2. Congenital malformations of the neck or thoracic veins. 3. History of previous central venous cannulation on the same side. 4. Coagulopathy or bleeding disorders. 5. Local infection or skin lesions at the proposed cannulation site. 6. Hemodynamic instability or cardiopulmonary compromise at the time of cannulation.
