Eligibility
Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: 1.Age group: 18 - 65years. 2.Healed Single Edentulous first molar site in the mandible with sufficient bone so as to obtain sufficient implant primary stability. 3.Patients with D2 bone quality in the posterior mandible as assessed by CBCT. 4.Opposing occlusion with the natural dentition or fixed restorations. 5.No need for bone augmentation. 6.Medically fit patients for surgery under local anaesthesia. 7.Patients who will strictly follow and maintain proper oral hygiene to prevent peri-implantitis.
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: 1.Medically compromised patients. 2.Chronic smokers. 3.Patients with Para-functional habits. 4.Poor bone quality or volume. 5.Non-compliant patients. 6.Patients with uncontrolled diabetes with HbA1c greater than 7.

| Post operative parameters To record the crestal bone level at baseline , 3 months and at 6 months in both test and control groups using cone beam computed tomography scan. The first bone-implant contact at surgery was defined as the baseline level. To compare the implant success rates between the test and control group, if any. Implant failure criteria: 1. Absence of complete extrusion of the implant. 2. Implant should remain clinically immobile on manual testing. Implants not fulfilling both of the above mentioned criteria are considered as failed implants. Timepoint: Baseline, 3 months, 6 months. | — |
