Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Adult patients aged 18 65 years of either sex diagnosed with oral cancer scheduled for surgery under general anesthesia. ASA physical status 1 and 2 Cooperative and able to provide informed consent

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Not giving written and informed consent Pregnant and Lactating women Known allergy to study drugs

To assess and compare the effectiveness of sedation achieved by Dexmedetomidine versus Midazolam using Ramsay sedation score. To assess and compare the time required for intubation in minutes.
