Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: ADULTS AGED 30-75 YEARS DIAGNOSED WITH TYPE 2 DIABETES MELLITUS AS PER ADA CRITERIA.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: TYPE 1 DIABETES MELLITUS. SYSTEMIC INFECTIONS- PNEUMONIA, SEPTICEMIA, CHRONIC INFLAMMATORY CONDITIONS LIKE -RA, SLE. USE OF ANTI-INFLAMMATORY ( CORTICOSTEROIDS) OR LIPID LOWERING DRUGS( STATINS) IN THE LAST 3 MONTHS. CHRONIC LIVER DISEASE, CHRONIC KIDNEY DISEASE. RENAL/LIVER MALIGNANCIES.
