Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 1.Adult patients aged 18- 65 years 2.ASA physical status I, II & III 3.Elective surgery under general anesthesia. 4.Baseline normothermic patient preoperatively. 5.Surgery duration greater 60 mins 6.Patient BMI between 18-40

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1.Pregnancy patients. 2.Burn patients or those with large exposed surface areas 3.Patients with thyroid disorders

MeasureTime frame
To determine the intraoperative time taken for the core temperature to fall below 36 C and the postoperative time required to restore normothermia (greater 36.5 C) in patients of different BMI categories undergoing general anaesthesia with active warming techniquesTimepoint: Temperature will be checked before induction, then every 15 minutes during surgery until it drops below 36 C. After surgery, it will be checked at extubation and again at 15 and 30 minutes until the temperature reaches 36.5 C or above
