Eligibility
Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: Patients diagnosed with ankylosing spondylitis based on ASAS, Duration of symptoms more than 6 months, NPRS more than or equal to 4, Functional impairment ODI more than 20 percent, At least two positive SIJ provocation test, Presence of grade 2 or 3 sacroiliitis confirmed by imaging X-ray, Failure of conservative treatments non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs like Indomethacin, physical therapy for more than 3 months, Positive diagnostic block more than 50 percent improvement in pain
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: Patients with Ankylosing spondylitis with only peripheral involvement, Previous SI joint surgery or ablation procedures, Intra-articular injection with steroid in the last 3 months, Patients suffering from other rheumatic diseases, Severe neuropathy or radiculopathy, Patients with severe cardiovascular, renal, or hepatic condition that could confound results, Local or systemic infections, Allergy to anesthetic medication and steroid used, Pregnant or lactating individuals, Uncontrolled diabetes mellitus
