Eligibility

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 1.Patients undergoing Elective Laparascopic Gastrointestinal Surgeries under General anaesthesia with Endotracheal intubation. 2.Adult patients aged 18-70 years of all gender 3.Patients belonging to American society of Anaesthesiologists(ASA) grade 1 and 2.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1.Patients with nasal mass 2.Patients with significant deviated nasal septum 3.Patients with cleft lip and cleft palate 4.Patients who had history of laryngeal surgery 5.Patients with base of skull lesions 6.History of corrosive poisoning 7.Esophageal pathology 8.Recent radiotherapy to neck 9.Body mass index >30kg/m2

1.To compare the insertion time for successful first attempt nasogastric tube insertion using Airway Exchange Catheter guided versus conventional blind technique in intubated patients undergoing laparascopic gastrointestinal surgery. 2.To compare the number of insertion attempts required between the two groups 3.To compare the incidence & types of complications associated with nasogastric insertion in both groups .Timepoint: Insertion time -Time interval from introduction of nasogastric tube into the nostril to the confirmation of successful placement in the stomach. 2.Number of attempts 3.
