Eligibility
Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: 1)Newly diagnosed patients on atorvastatin and rosuvastatin for atleast 3 months. 2)Patients with documented lipid profiles before and during treatment. 3)Availability of CPK levels during follow-up at 3 months. -Patients willing to provide information on muscle symptoms- Muscle pain, cramps, stiffness/spasticity, fatigue and weakness
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: 1)History of chronic muscle disorders (e.g., myopathies, fibromyalgia). 2)Patients on multiple statins. 3)Use of concurrent drugs that cause muscle toxicity (e.g., fibrates, corticosteroids). 4)Patients with acute muscle injury, rhabdomyolysis, or severe renal/liver dysfunction
