Eligibility

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 1.Diagnosed cases of T2DM matched by age and sex with healthy individuals as control group. 2.Willingness to provide informed consent.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1.Individuals with genetic syndromes (Adermatoglyphia, Down s Syndrome, Turner s Syndrome & Edward s Syndrome etc.) known to affect dermatoglyphics. 2.Patients with hand trauma & burns or any dermatological disease (dermatitis, psoriasis) affecting fingerprints. 3.Occupations affecting finger prints like Construction laborers, Carpenters and chemical-based industry workers. 4.Pregnant women 5.Individuals with tattoos on palm of hands, henna and alta application.

1.To examine the dermatoglyphic (fingerprint and palmar) patterns in individuals diagnosed with T2DM. 2.To study the dermatoglyphic patterns in non-diabetic (healthy) individuals. 3.To compare the dermatoglyphic characteristics between individuals with T2DM and non-diabetic controls. Timepoint: At the time of Enrollment only
