Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Diagnosed case of Iron Deficiency Anemia Age 15 to 25 years of females Subjects with Hemoglobin to to 11.9gm/dl and Serum Ferritin less than 30 g/ml Adolescent girls 2 years after menarche age Females with menstrual cycle intervals of 24 to 45 days Non pregnant and non-lactating females Informed and written consent (Assent and guardians consents if subjects are less than 18 years of age)

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: H/o uncontrolled menorrhagia for greater than 3 cycles(blood loss greater than 80 ml per cycle) History of any blood loss (melena epistaxis) History of regular intake anticonvulsants Proton pump inhibitors H2 Blockers Any blood transfusion history Post operative anaemia Diagnosed case of Helicobacter Pylori infection Recurrent jaundice Known case of Diabetes Mellitus Hypertension and Kidney disease Known case of Inflammatory Bowel disease Subjects with diagnosed case of Coagulopathy
