Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Fasting blood glucose 100-125 mg/dl 2hr plasma glucose 140-200 mg/dl HbA1c 5.7-6.4%

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Diabetes mellitus, liver disease, hyperparathyroidism, arthritis, pulmonary TB, malignancy, HIV, patients on antiviral drugs History of consuming vitamin D for past 1 year Any patients who are known CKD, Heart Failure, CAD or have history of stroke. Those patients who do not consent for the study.

To determine the change in fasting and postprandial blood glucose values and HOMA IR in study group at baseline and after 3 months of vitamin D supplementation and compare it with control group without vitamin D supplementation. Timepoint: To determine the change in fasting and postprandial blood glucose values and HOMA IR in study group at baseline and after 3 months of vitamin D supplementation and compare it with control group without vitamin D supplementation.
