Eligibility

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 1.Patients of age group 18-60 years 2.Patients of either sex 3.Patient with American society of Anaesthesiologists(ASA) Grade I or II 4.Patients undergoing laparoscopic cholecystectomy

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1.Patients with heart rate less than 60 per minute or on beta blockers 2.Psychiatric disorders 3.History of obstructive sleep apnea 4.Severely deranged hepatic and renal function 5.Lack of consent 6.Known allergy to study drugs

Compare the recovery profile of ketamine and fentanyl infusion during balanced anaesthesiaTimepoint: Ramsay sedation score will be recorded at endotracheal extubation and after 15mins of shifting to post operative care unit

1.Intra operative hemodynamic stability 2.time of first request of postoperative analgesia 3.Postoperative nausea and vomitingTimepoint: 1.Hemodynamic parameters(heart rate,blood pressure,mean arterial pressure) will be recorded every 5 mins throughout the procedure 2.Time of first request for rescue analgesia at Post anaesthetic care unit or at ward will be noted 3.Any episode of nausea or vomiting during stay at post anaesthesia care unit will be noted
