Eligibility

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Adults aged 18 years and older whose caregiver s consent to participate and are scheduled for decompressive craniectomy

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Patients with pre-existing cardiovascular conditions or those on medication affecting cardiovascular autonomic regulation will be excluded

MeasureTime frame
Correlation between cardiovascular variability parameters and neurological outcomes measured by Glasgow Outcome Scale ExtendedTimepoint: Neurological outcome (GOS-E) will be assessed at the following specific time points: At hospital discharge (or 14 days post-surgery, whichever occurs earlier), At 1 month after surgery, At 3 months after surgery, and At 6 months after surgery.

Secondary

MeasureTime frame
To correlate cardiovascular variability with Major Adverse Cardiac Events (MACE) within 30 days.Timepoint: MACE will be assessed at 30 days after decompressive craniotomy.
