Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Inclusion Criteria for Case 1) Adults aged 30- 70 years 2) Confirmed degeneration changes in the T2-weighted cervical spine. Inclusion Criteria for Control (Healthy Individuals without cervical spine disorders) 1) Adults aged 30- 70 years 2) Patient referred for cervical/thoracic/lumbar spine without cervical spine degenerative disease confirmed with T2-weighted sequence.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Exclusion Criteria for both Case and Control 1) Patients with tumours or fractures in the spine region. 2) History of spine surgery. 3) Patients with MR unsafe body implants. 4) Claustrophobic patients.

To establish specific Diffusion Kurtosis Imaging (DKI) parameters within the intervertebral disc, spinal cord, and spinal nerve roots that can differentiate between healthy and degenerative cervical spine tissues, enabling early detection and improved diagnosis of cervical spine degeneration.Timepoint: 3years

To evaluate the relationship between metabolic disorders, including obesity, type II diabetes mellitus, hyperthyroidism, & hypothyroidism & alterations in DKI-derived metrics, thereby identifying potential metabolic contributors to cervical spine degeneration.Timepoint: 3years
