Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Patients of all age groups with clinical suspicion of intracranial infection. Willingness to undergo MRI examination.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Patients who do not give consent. Contraindications to MRI or gadolinium-based contrast agents Patients suffering from claustrophobia.

MeasureTime frame
MRI was undoubtedly an indispensable tool to evaluate patients presenting with intracranial infections. Most of the cases were pathognomonic in imaging appearance; while some required clinico-laboratory correlation. Careful evaluation of MR behaviour of infectious lesions helped in identifying not only the precise location and extent of the lesion, but also in proposing a specific etiology in many such patients. Timepoint: 8 weeks
