Eligibility

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Clinical diagnosis of type 2 diabetes mellitus for more than 3 years Willingness and ability to attend all scheduled follow-up visits at baseline, 3, 6, 12 and 18 months. Able to stand unaided for at least 60 seconds and to ambulate household distances Intact ability to understand study procedures and provide written informed consent (no severe cognitive impairment). No active foot ulceration or foot infection at the time of enrolment. No major lower-limb amputation that precludes plantar sensory testing. Stable medical management for the preceding 3 months (no major changes to medications known to substantially affect balance, e.g., initiation of sedatives). Vision and vestibular function sufficient to perform standing
