Eligibility

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Patients between the age group of 50–80 years of any gender, religion, caste, or socioeconomic status and confirmed Grade-I and Grade-II cataract diagnosed via slit lamp examination in one or both eyes. Patients willing to take part in the study and ready to give informed consent for the same. Patients who are able to either read, write, or understand Hindi, English, or Bengali.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Patients with cataract greater than Grade 2 Complicated cataract coexisting with other ocular pathologies. Coexisting retinal diseases (like diabetic retinopathy, macular degeneration), optic nerve disorders (e.g., glaucoma with optic nerve damage), or corneal opacity. Patients who are having malignant diseases, life-threatening diseases, immune-compromised state, or any other diseases requiring surgical intervention. Patients with uncontrolled systemic illness or any organ failure. Diagnosed cases of unstable mental or psychiatric illness or other systemic disease. No previous cataract surgery, eye surgery, or ocular trauma in the study eye. Chronic use of corticosteroids or any other medications.
