Intervention1: Unani formulation: Unani formulation is a powder drug of natural ingredients. The dose of the powder is 3 gm twice daily orally for 90 days.
Control Intervention1: Metformin 500 mg: Tab

Eligibility
Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: Clinically diagnosed cases of Type 2 diabetes for at least 6 months prior to screening. HbA1c level equal to or more than 6.5 % at screening. Presence of any of the symptoms and signs of diabetes mellitus as per Unani Literature. Willing and able to provide written informed consent. Willing to comply with the protocol requirements.
