Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: Adult patients (aged 18 and above) receiving chemotherapy. Patients who are willing to participate and provide informed consent. Patients with peripheral IV catheters in place for chemotherapy administration.
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: Patients with a history of vascular conditions that may independently predispose them to phlebitis (e.g., varicose veins, thrombophlebitis). Patients with pre-existing phlebitis at the time of admission. Patients who are unable to provide informed consent or have cognitive impairments preventing them from participating. Patients who are receiving central venous catheters for chemotherapy, as these may reduce the risk of phlebitis from peripheral IV administration. Patient who are hypothermic. Patients who are hypersensitive to cryotherapy or saline infusion.
