Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Patients of the American Society of Anesthesiologists (ASA) physical status I/II aged 18–65 years undergoing ECT at VMMC and Safdarjung Hospital

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Blind or deaf patients Allergic to dexmedetomidine Second- or third-degree heart block or persistent bradycardia Taking beta blockers or other antiarrhythmic drugs Pregnant or lactating women
