Design outcomes
Primary
| Measure | Time frame |
|---|---|
| Identification of altered metabolites in saliva of oral cancer patients might help in understanding the role of these metabolites in Oral cancer management by surgery. Knowledge about these altered metabolites implicates the metabolism that is being affected which can be further studied as probable therapeutic targets.Timepoint: 3 months- sample analysis 6 months- statistical analysis | — |
Secondary
| Measure | Time frame |
|---|---|
| Multivariate statistical analyses will be employed to characterize global shifts in the salivary metabolome between pre- and post-surgery samples. The diagnostic accuracy of salivary metabolite profiles in distinguishing pre- and post-surgery states will be assessed using ROC curve analysis, sensitivity, and specificity.Timepoint: 3 months- sample analysis 6 months- statistical analysis | — |
