Eligibility

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 1.Individuals with respiratory muscle weakness post stroke. 2. Patients in subacute and chronic phase of stroke. 3. Patients with mini mental scale score of 23 or more. 4.Patients with facial palsy.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1. Individuals with congenital thoracic deformity or rib fracture. 2. Individuals with Mini mental scale score of 22 or less. 3. Patients with acute phase of stroke.

The Primary outcome measures in this study is to determine the effect of diaphragmatic breathing and inspiratory muscle training on the pulmonary function of post-stroke patients with PFT device and maximum respiratory pressure device measuring Maximum inspiratory pressure and Maximum expiratory pressuresTimepoint: 3 weeks

MeasureTime frame
mprovement in trunk control assessed by Trunk Impairment Scale (TIS). Change in maximal inspiratory pressure (MIP) and maximal expiratory pressure (MEP) indicating respiratory muscle strength. Change in chest expansion measured at axillary, xiphoid, and basal levels using a measuring tape.Timepoint: 3 weeks
