Eligibility

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: a) Their adult child has been diagnosed with Schizophrenia spectrum disorders or Mood disorders b) Their adult child should have been diagnosed at least 3-5 years prior to the conduction of this research. c) Their adult child has been diagnosed by a Licensed Mental Health Professional. d) Those who have got a score of 48 and above on “The Mental Illness Version of the Texas Inventory of Grief”. e) Those who can speak English or Hindi f) Parents who are open and willing to share their experiences of disenfranchised grief related to the mental illness of their child. g) Those parents whose age is between 45-70 and don’t have any severe health issues will be included in the study

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1) Parents who don’t identify as the primary caregivers of the adult child. 2) Parents with severe untreated psychiatric conditions. 3) Parents having another family member with severe mental illness living with them.
