Eligibility

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Systemically healthy subjects above 18 years of age with moderate/severe gingival inflammation which was assessed based on gingival index score (1.1 3.0) Subjects with fair or poor oral hygiene based on oral hygiene index simplified score (1.3 6.0) Equal or more than 20 teeth

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Current smokers pregnant women Patients on antibiotics/anti-inflammatory/any other drugs in the past 6 months Subjects with healthy gingiva (with no clinical signs of gingival inflammation)
