Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: All children between age of 8-18 years with confirmed diagnosis of transfusion dependent beta thalassemia major.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1. Thalassemic children with chronic viral hepatitis ( Hepatitis B and Hepatitis C) 2. Thalassemic children with cholelithiasis 3. Thalassemic children with hepatocellular carcinoma
