Eligibility

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 1.Patients diagnosed with controlled hypertension on anti hypertensive medications. 2. Patients scheduled for elective laparoscopic cholecystectomy under general anaesthesia. 3. Patients falling under ASA- II,III category.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1. Patients allergic to dexmedetomidine. 2. Patients having severe cardiac conduction abnormalities. 3. Patients on chronic sedatives or opioid use. 4. Patients having nasal pathology preventing intranasal drug delivery 5. Patients with heart rate less than 60 beats per minute.
