Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: 1. Age and Demographics: Patients aged 30-70 years of both genders willing to participate in the study and provide written informed consent. 2. Disease Duration: Chronic symptoms with duration less than 5 years from onset of initial symptoms. 3. Clinical Assessment: Positive Straight Leg Raise (SLR) test with limitation between 30-60 degrees of hip flexion, indicating nerve root irritation consistent with sciatica. 4. Radiological Confirmation: MRI-confirmed lumbar degenerative disc disease with evidence of nerve root compression at one or more levels between L1-S1. 5. Ayurvedic Diagnostic Criteria: Patients presenting with classical symptoms of Vata and Vata-Kaphaja Gridhrasi as per Ayurvedic diagnostic parameters including radiating pain from lower back to leg(s), associated with stiffness and functional limitation. 6. Functional Status: Patients able to ambulate independently and attend regular follow-up visits as per the study protocol. 7. Compliance: Patients willing to adhere to the prescribed Ayurvedic treatment protocol for the complete study duration and follow dietary and lifestyle modifications as advised
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: 1. Chronicity of more than 5 yrs. 2. Pregnant and lactating mother 3. Cardiac diseases, uncontrolled Diabetes, Tuberculosis, severe hypertension 4. Rheumatoid arthritis, Gout 5. Patient diagnosed with Spondylolisthesis, Spinal Stenosis, Avascular Necrosis. 6. Psychiatric or cognitive impairment 7. Patients unfit for Snehana, Swedana, Vamana, Virechana, Basti Karma, Siravyadha and Agnikarma.
