Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: patients from different socio economic groups patients who give their valid consent to participate in this study stage 1 hypertensives . patients with either systolic bloodpressure 140-159 mm hg or diastolic blood pressure 90-99 mm hg or both
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: Patients suffering from Secondary Hypertension associated with any other Chronic debilitating systemic disorders like Pulmonary Tuberculosis, Cancer, Chronic Kidney disorders and autoimmune diseases. Suspicion of a secondary cause for hypertension arose from the physical examination or routine investigations .There was any kind of continued antihypertensive therapy for atleast six months .Patients were with labile hypertension (sometimes, but not always, arterial pressure in the hypertensive range, i.e. not sustained) .The cases were of malignant hypertension (SBP MORE THAN 180mm Hg and DBP MORE THAN 120 mm Hg) .Patients were suffering from isolated systolic hypertension grade 1 and 2 (SBP more than or equal to 140mmHg and or DBP less than 90 mm Hg), as was mostly found in elderly patients .Presence of any systemic disease in the patients who are already diagnosed or detected clinically.Patient s Age less than 35 years and Above 50 years.Persons under the influence of alcohol or smoking or tobacco or drugsabuse for atleast six months.Pregnant women and lactating mothers
